Your therapist will discuss your needs with you prior to your treatment.

Trigger Point ReleaseA trigger point is essentially a "knot" in a muscle or fascia that is locally painful and may refer pain to another part of the body. A great example of this is tension headaches. You feel the pain in your head, but it's coming from the muscles in your neck.
Massage Therapists use many techniques to release trigger points and sometimes use the theory and mapping to figure out where your pain is originating. |
Deep Tissue MassageAs the name suggests, our Massage Therapists focus on the deeper muscles, tendons and fascia in the body. Deep Tissue helps to reduce more chronic pain and tension as well as treat certain injuries. More specifically, it works to increase range of motion and can help heal damaged tissue.
Deep tissue massage uses firm pressure and slow strokes to reach deeper layers of muscle and fascia (the connective tissue surrounding muscles). It's used for chronic aches and pain and contracted areas such as a stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders. |
Swedish Massage (Relaxation)Relaxation Massage Therapy is commonly used to relax tired and sore muscles but it is also an effective treatment for a variety of other complaints. Your therapist will discuss your needs with you prior to your treatment.

Hot Stone MassageThis treatment is a combination of traditional hot stone therapy and Swedish massage and is incredibly relaxing. Smooth stones are warmed and used in the therapist's hands to move and massage the body. The stones are also strategically placed along the body to release tension and stress. Hot Stone Massage increases circulation, decreases stiffness and tension, and treats sore, aching muscles.
Hot stone massage involves the placement of smooth, hot stones on specific points of the body to warm the tissue, allowing the therapist to work deeper with less pressure, therefore limiting the pain. It also helps to improve circulation and reduce muscle stiffness resulting in pain reduction and increased relaxation. |
Cupping TherapyCupping involves cups on the skin and creating a vacuum by suctioning out the air. The underlying tissue is raised, or sucked, partway into the cup. The purpose of cupping is to enhance circulation, help relieve pain, remove "heat" and pull out the toxins that linger in your body's tissues.
You usually will feel a tight sensation in the area of the cup. Often, this sensation is relaxing and soothing. Depending on your comfort and your practitioner's assessment of the problem, cups may be moved around or left in place. They may remain on your body briefly or for longer amounts of time. Each treatment is unique to you on that particular day. |
Head and Face MassageHead/Facial Massage is the use of a massage technique on the face, scalp and neck area. It is designed to relax the mind and encourage circulation. A head massage may help relieve stress and reduce tension. It may also ease migraine or headache pain, lower blood pressure, improve circulation to your head and neck.
